CHARLESTON COLLEGIATE LEAGUES OPEN PLAYER REGISTRATION FOR 2026 SEASON

Charleston Collegiate Leagues Open Player Registration for 2026 Season

Charleston, SC – August 2025

The Charleston Collegiate Leagues are proud to announce that player registration is now open for the 2026 summer baseball and softball seasons.

The Charleston Collegiate Baseball League (CCBL) returns for its second season after a strong debut in 2025. Built for current college players and graduating seniors committed to play at the next level, the league is expanding to four teams in 2026. With a structured, six-week schedule and all games held locally in Charleston, the CCBL provides athletes with a competitive, consistent summer season focused on development and preparation for fall baseball.

The Charleston Collegiate Softball League (CCSL) will officially launch in June 2026. Created with the same player-first mission as the CCBL, the softball league offers incoming and current collegiate softball athletes a new, highly organized summer league experience. With no outside travel, weekly beach workouts, and elite-level coaching, the CCSL is positioned to deliver a complete summer softball experience in one of the most vibrant cities in the Southeast.

About the Leagues

The CCBL and CCSL are designed for:

  • Current college athletes looking to stay sharp and gain meaningful summer reps

  • Graduating high school seniors who are committed to a collegiate program

  • Transfer athletes preparing for their next chapter

Each league features:

  • A six-week season running from early June through mid-July

  • An 18 to 20-game schedule, with all games held locally in Charleston

  • Weekly beach workouts, professional coaching, and optional strength training

  • A focus on development, community, and competition

"These leagues were created with the athlete in mind," said Christian Powell, Director of the Charleston Collegiate Leagues. "We are offering something different — a chance to compete at a high level without constant travel, in an environment that supports real growth on and off the field."

A Charleston-Built Experience

Charleston’s vibrant sports culture, coastal atmosphere, and growing athletic community provide the ideal setting for these leagues. The focus is on quality of play, coaching, facilities, and lifestyle, allowing athletes to train, recover, and compete with consistency.

With limited roster spots available, both leagues are expected to fill quickly. Interested athletes are encouraged to submit their application as soon as possible.
