Become a Host Family

The Charleston Collegiate Baseball League is seeking host families to support college baseball players during our six-week summer season in Charleston. Hosting a player is a meaningful way to support young athletes while becoming part of a growing local baseball community.

Many of our host families are baseball fans, parents of athletes, or community members who enjoy being involved in something positive and local. Hosting allows families to play a small but important role in a player’s summer experience.

Why Host Families Are Important

Each summer, college baseball players from programs across the Southeast come to Charleston to compete, train, and continue developing their game. Being away from home for an extended period can be challenging, and having a stable place to live makes a significant difference.

Host families provide:

  • A safe and supportive home environment

  • Stability during a busy summer schedule

  • A connection to the Charleston community

This support allows players to focus on baseball, training, and personal growth while fully enjoying their time in the city.

Season Dates and Hosting Commitment

The 2026 Charleston Collegiate Baseball League season runs from June 1 through July 18. We are seeking host families who can commit to housing a player for the full six-week season.

We work to thoughtfully match players with families based on location, availability, and household preferences.

What Host Families Receive

As a thank you for your support, host families receive:

  • Two season tickets to Charleston Collegiate Baseball League games

  • Team and league gear

  • Invitations to league events throughout the season

Host families also become part of a close-knit group that helps support college athletes during an important stage of their development.

About the Charleston Collegiate Baseball League

The Charleston Collegiate Baseball League was created to give college baseball players a better summer experience.

The league is run by a former college and professional baseball player who understands what athletes need during the summer months. Having experienced the demands of collegiate and professional baseball firsthand, our founder built this league to prioritize player development, consistency, and overall quality of life during the season.

By limiting travel and keeping games local, players are able to maintain training routines, recover properly, and spend more time focused on development rather than long road trips. Just as important, the league was designed to connect players with the Charleston community so they feel invested in where they are playing.

Our long-term goal is to grow a sustainable, player-first collegiate summer league that becomes a valued part of Charleston’s sports culture and a league that players are proud to be part of.
