ABOUT THE CHARLESTON COLLEGIATE LEAGUE

Each summer, CCL brings players together in Charleston for a season featuring locally based teams, experienced coaching staffs, a competitive game schedule, live-streamed games, and full league statistics. All league games are played within the Charleston area, so players compete consistently without the extensive travel of many traditional summer leagues.

CCL Baseball enters its third season in 2027, and CCL Softball launches its inaugural season the same summer.

OUR MISSION
CCL was founded with a simple goal: to create a better summer experience for college athletes.

We built a league that prioritizes meaningful game reps, continued development, professional standards, and preparation for the upcoming college season, while letting players spend their summer in Charleston.

Everything we do, in both sports, is built around that goal.

THE CCL EXPERIENCE
Summer ball should provide more than another schedule of games.

CCL allows players to compete against other college athletes, keep developing, and get the live game reps they need throughout the summer.

Players compete within established team environments led by coaches with collegiate and professional backgrounds. Every game is live streamed, so college coaches and families can follow along from anywhere.

Because the league operates locally, players aren't spending their summer traveling from city to city. That creates more time for training, recovery, work, and life outside the game while still providing a competitive summer schedule.

SUMMER BALL IN CHARLESTON
Charleston is an important part of the CCL experience.

For local players, the league offers competitive collegiate summer play close to home. For players coming from programs across the country, Charleston becomes home for the summer.

Players can compete and keep developing while spending their summer in one of the country's most recognized coastal destinations. From the field to the beach and everything else the Charleston area has to offer, the experience extends beyond the game.

LEAGUE EXPANSION
Since our inaugural season, CCL has continued to grow its teams, player base, partnerships, and presence in the Charleston community, and in 2027, that growth includes a second sport.

Our vision extends beyond providing a place to compete each summer. We are building established team identities, developing long-term relationships with local businesses and communities, creating opportunities for team ownership, and growing collegiate summer baseball and softball throughout the Charleston area.

Each season adds to the history of the league, its teams, and the players who have been part of it.

BE PART OF CCL
There are several ways to become part of the Charleston Collegiate League.

Players can apply to compete in baseball or softball, businesses can explore partnership opportunities, prospective owners can inquire about team ownership, families can host a player for the summer, and fans can follow our teams all season long.
