About the Charleston Collegiate League

About Us

A Player-First Approach. A Charleston-Built Experience.

The Charleston Collegiate Leagues were founded with one clear goal in mind: to raise the standard for what summer baseball and softball can be. As former athletes, coaches, and professionals in the sports performance and player development world, we recognized a growing need for structured, high-level summer leagues that truly serve the athlete rather than the industry.

Too often, players are pulled into weekend tournament circuits, overloaded schedules, and environments that prioritize exposure over development. We set out to change that.

Our mission is simple but powerful: create a player-first league that delivers consistent, meaningful game reps, expert coaching, and a complete summer experience within one of the most iconic sports communities in the country.

The Charleston Collegiate Baseball League launched in 2025 with that exact mission. After a strong first season, we expanded to four teams and are continuing to build upon that success. The Charleston Collegiate Softball League launches in 2026 with the same vision, providing college-level softball athletes the opportunity to train, compete, and grow in a professional, highly competitive setting.

Who We Are

We are a team of former collegiate and professional athletes, performance coaches, and sports industry professionals with a deep commitment to athlete development. We believe that summer should be a time to get better, not just stay busy.

As a league, we bring a high level of organization, accountability, and communication to everything we do. From team structure and game operations to training opportunities and media coverage, we aim to give athletes a summer experience that is both competitive and memorable.

Who We Serve

The Charleston Collegiate Leagues are built for:

  • Current college athletes who are looking to stay sharp and ready for fall

  • Graduating high school seniors who are officially committed to a collegiate program

  • Transfer athletes navigating the in-between period before joining their new team

Our leagues are intentionally designed to provide value not only to athletes, but also to the parents, coaches, and trainers who support them. We understand how important summer development is in the long-term growth of a player’s career, and we take that responsibility seriously.

What We Offer

Each league runs a six-week season with 18 to 20 games, professional coaching, weekly training opportunities, and a high level of operational organization. All games are played locally in the Charleston area, eliminating the need for travel and allowing athletes to train, rest, and perform consistently.

We provide:

  • A professional and organized league environment

  • Collegiate-level coaching and mentorship

  • Consistent, competitive game reps

  • Training and performance support

  • In-season player media coverage and statistics tracking

  • Custom uniforms and team identity

  • A summer community of athletes who share the same mindset

Why Charleston?

Charleston, South Carolina, is a city known for its history, charm, and energy. It is also one of the fastest-growing athletic communities in the Southeast. With access to top-tier fields, a supportive sports culture, and a unique blend of city and coastal lifestyle, Charleston provides the ideal backdrop for summer baseball and softball.

For athletes traveling in or staying local, our leagues offer a balanced mix of high-level competition, focused development, and quality of life. We are proud to represent this city and to build something that will serve athletes here for years to come.

Our Commitment

This league was built by athletes for athletes. Our commitment is to ensure that every player who joins our league feels seen, supported, and challenged — and walks away a better version of themselves, both on and off the field.

Whether you are here to compete, train, or connect, the Charleston Collegiate Leagues are here to serve you. We are not just building teams. We are building a culture of excellence, one summer at a time.
